How to Teleport in Minecraft PS4, Xbox, PC, Mobile, Command

Teleportation in simple terms is the act of traveling between two points within an unknown period of time, sometimes almost immediately.

Minecraft worlds are massive and traveling around takes great distances to cover. So, in order to save time moving from one place to another, you can teleport in the game and there are a few ways to do so,

To Teleport in Minecraft: Activate Cheats On. Press D-Pad (right) on the controller and the T key on the Keyboard to open the chat window. Enter Coordinates “/tp @p x y z,” where x, y, and z are the coordinates. Press Enter to teleport to the coordinates.

In this tutorial, we will show you how to teleport in Minecraft with step-by-step instructions.

Minecraft XYZ Coordinates

Similar to Time machines in the movies, you will need to set the location of the world to travel to.

Minecraft has 3 set coordinates (X, Y, and Z) to specify a position in a Minecraft world.

  • Z for Latitude,
  • X for altitude, and
  • Y for elevation

How to Locate XYZ Co-ordinates in Minecraft for Teleportation

  • Java Edition: Press F3 on your keyboard and Fn + F3 on your laptop
  • Bedrock Edition: Pause the game and go to the Game Settings menu, Toggle on Show Coordinates.

To find your XYZ Co-ordinates:

Open the Chat Window

For Windows 10 Edition, Education Edition & Java Edition (PC/Mac): Press the T key to open the chat window.

  • For Pocket Edition (PE): Select the chat icon
  • For PS4 & Xbox One, Select the D-Pad (right) on the controller.
  • For Nintendo Switch: Click the right arrow button on the console.

Locate your Coordinates

You can quickly locate your current XYZ coordinates in Minecraft using the command:

/tp ~ ~ ~
  • Open Chat
  • Type the command in the chat window /tp ~ ~ ~
  • Press Enter to run the command.

Minecraft will display the current coordinates in the lower left corner of the game window.

How to Teleport in Minecraft PC with Command Blocks

IMPORTANT: It works with Minecraft Java & Bedrock Edition for PC. It would be best if you were in Creative mode to use this command Blocks.

Step 1: Spawn the Command Block.

To Spawn the command Block, type “/give username Minecraft:command_block“.

Step 2: Enter Coordinates

Once you have the Command Block, right-click on it.

Enter “/tp @p x y z,” where x, y, and z are the coordinates to teleport to.

So for example, if you’re trying to teleport to locations 50,60,40, you’ll type: /tp 50 60 40

Type /tp @p 0 ~ 0 to teleport you back to spawn.

  • Teleport to a friend: Type /tp YourName Friend’sName (E.g. /tp Jimmy Jlo)
  • Teleport a friend to you: Type /tp FriendName YourName (E.g. /tp Jlo Jimmy)
  • Teleport to Coordinates: Type /tp name Coordinates (E.g. /tp JimmyD 20 60 90)

Step 3: Press Enter

Click on Enter/ send message button to execute the command.

How To Teleport in Minecraft PS4

Unfortunately, Minecraft in the console doesn’t support teleportation to coordinates, but rather to another player if you are playing in a multiplayer mode.

  • Go to the Game Options menu
  • Select the Host Privileges option
  • Press “circle” on PS4
  • Load the game
  • Press “PS” on PS4
  • Select Host Options
  • Click on the Teleport to Player
  • Select your friend’s name in the list to be teleported to their coordinates.

How to Teleport in Minecraft on Xbox

  • Visit the “Game Options“ of your world from the pause menu.
  • Toggle the “Host Privileges” to “ON”.
  • Load up your Multiplayer world
  • Open the Options Host Menu.
  • Select Teleport to Player from Host Options.
  • Select a username from the list to teleport you to that player’s location.

How to Teleport in Minecraft Pocket Edition (MCPE) on Android

Make sure to enable cheats to teleport to any coordinates by following the steps below:

  • Press “T”
  • Type in “/tp x y z”
  • Click Enter

How to Teleport in Minecraft Pocket Edition on iOS

  • Open the Minecraft app
  • Pause the game
  • Go to the menu using the “Pause” option
  • Select the “Settings” options
  • Switch the “Activate Cheats” toggle option.
  • Head back to your game
  • Next, Click on the chat icon
  • Enter the command “/tp username x y z (substitute x y z with the coordinates)
  • Click Enter to teleport to your desired coordinates.

How to teleport to The Nether and The End

Note: Unfortunately, this command only works in Java Edition and not in Bedrock Edition.

You can teleport between realms in a few seconds by combining the teleport cheat with a new command: “/execute.”

In Minecraft Java Edition, To teleport yourself to The Nether or The End

  • Open the chat box
  • Enter /execute in DimensionName run tp PlayerName ~ ~ ~.

Substitute:

  • DimensionName: World that you want to teleport (Overworld, The_Nether, or The_End),
  • PlayerName: Player you want to warp (leave it blank for teleporting yourself)
  • tp: Coordinates

How to Teleport with Mods in Minecraft

Here are the top 2 Mods that we recommend.

Teleport++ mod

  • Download the Teleport++ mod in the .jar file
  • Copy it to the Mods folder, located at %appdata%.minecraft\mods.
  • Load the Minecraft world, and the teleportation mod will run automatically.

You can use the personal teleporter to teleport back and fro to any given area within 90 seconds of placing that teleporter.

There’s also another Teleporter machine that allows multiple teleportations by placing the devices throughout the map.

Waystones Mod

With this mod, you will find unactivated Waystones all across the map and you can use them to activate as a waypoint for teleport purposes.

How to teleport to a village in Minecraft

  • Open the chat window
  • Enter /locate the village for the nearest village coordinates.
  • Use the Tp command to teleport to Village coordinates.

How to teleport to Minecraft Biome

  • Open the chat window
  • Enter /locatebiome.
  • Choose a biome to see its coordinates.
  • Use the Tp command to teleport to selected Biome coordinates.
