What Does Quick Charge Do in Minecraft: III Enchantment Level

Minecraft Crossbows’ loading time is longer than a regular bow does. It usually takes a little over a second (1 and half a seconds) to load a crossbow.

That is where the Quick Charge enchantment for the crossbow comes in.

Quick Charge in Minecraft reduces the amount of time to reload a crossbow.

Crossbows work similarly to bows, however, they are more powerful and do more damage with accuracy.

In this tutorial, I will guide you to Enchant with Quick Charge for your Crossbow with step-by-step instructions.

What Does Quick Charge Do in Minecraft?

Minecraft Quick Charge is an Enchantment to load the Crossbows faster with three levels to it. The enchantment is compatible with Piercing or Multi-Shot and you can choose only one at a time.

The enchantment is recommended if you have a Crossbow in your inventory and you use it from time to time.

Quick Charge Enchantment can only be used on Crossbows and you can obtain it using an enchantment table

Materials to Enchant Quick Charge

• Enchanted Book
• Crossbow

How to Enchant a Quick Charge on Crossbow

• Open the Repair and Name tools by tapping on the block and you should see a GUI like in the photo above.
• Put the Crossbow in the First Box
• Place the Enchantment Book in the Second Box
• The Enchanted Quick Charge Cross Bow will appear on the result Box
• Drag and drop the item into the inventory.

How to get Enchanted Book for Quick Charge

There are many ways to get these books. Here are a few of them:

Enchantment Table

Use the Enchantment Table to create these magical books.

All you need are a Simple Book and 3 lapis.

The enchantments you will get are completely random. So, you will need to try again and again until you get the enchantment you want.

Fishing

Note: Enchant your rod before fishing.

The 2nd method to get enchanted books is via Fishing.

You will usually get level 30 enchanted books – they come in a variety of enchantment types and you will sometimes get treasure enchantments.

How to Fish in Minecraft

Get a fishing rod and Face the water body.

Cast the fishing line using your action command.

These action commands differ from devices and Minecraft Version:

• Windows 10 Edition, Java Edition (PC/Mac), Education Edition: Right-click on the water.
• Pocket Edition (PE): Tap on the water.
• Xbox 360 and Xbox One: Press the LT button on the controller.
• PS3 and PS4: Select the L2 button on the gamepad.
• Nintendo Switch & Wii U: Press the ZL button on the controller.

Wait for the bubbles to appear and for the bobber to sink below the water. Once it sinks, reel in your line using your action button:

• Windows 10 Edition, Java Edition (PC/Mac), Education Edition: Right-click on it.
• Pocket Edition (PE): Tap on it.
• Xbox 360 and Xbox One: Press the LT button on the controller.
• PS3 and PS4: Select the L2 button on the gamepad.
• Nintendo Switch & Wii U: Press the ZL button on the controller.

In most cases, you might catch a fish, but you can also reel in enchanted books along with other items that are difficult to find otherwise.

Librarian Villager

Another way to get an enchantment book is via a librarian. Minecraft’s librarian villagers can provide many enchantment books to trade and they always give nearly all their enchantments away.

Find a Librarian from a Village and trade with him for 5-64 emeralds as part of their tier 1, 4, and 5 trades.

Chest

You can also find enchantment books in the random chests from various places such as Mineshaft Chest, Dungeon Chest, etc.

Altar chest with a 2.5%, Pillager Outpost Chest with 11%, Woodland Mansion Chest with 14.9%, Storeroom chest with 4%, Underwater Ruins Chest with 21.7%, and Library chest with a 67.8% chance of getting the book.

Barter

Another option is to barter with Piglins and sometimes they might feel generous and give you enchantments.

Bastian Realms also has Chests to open which might contain what you are looking for. However, be aware as it is dangerous.

How To Use Enchanted Books

To use an enchanted book,

• Open the anvil menu
• Place the item (crossbow in this case) you want to enchant on the first slot of the anvil
• Put the enchanted book in the second slot.

The anvil will combine the two and your item will have the desired enchantment that was previously in the book.

How does Quick Charge Level Work

The regular Crossbow takes 1 and Quarter Seconds to reload the weapon.

• Quick Charge Crossbow level 1 takes 1 and half quarter seconds to reload.
• Quick Charge Crossbow level 2 takes 1 second to reload.
• Quick Charge Crossbow level 3 takes half a second to reload.
