Yes, you can tame a Panda in Minecraft by feeding Bamboos. Right Click on the Panda to feed and they will sit to eat the bamboo.
Feeding them will make the Panda Grasp the bamboo between their paws and sit up straight to much on it.

Pandas in Minecraft can often be found in the Bamboo Jungle biome.
How to Tame Pandas in Minecraft
Step-by-Step Guide to tame a Minecraft Panda:
Step 1: Search for Bamboo Biome

Pandas can be found in bamboo forest biomes.
Search for the bamboo areas in your world. Sometimes, it can be hard to find as it is not commonly found depending on your world.
Step 2: Locate a Panda

There are many Pandas in the Bamboo area. So, it wouldn’t be hard to find one to tame.
Choose one that you like.
Step 3: Feed a Panda

When you find the Panda that you wanna tame, go near them and drop a bamboo. The Panda will pick it up and sit up straight while eating the bamboo.
This helps to tame the panda.
Continue feeding them until hearts start appearing around them; that’s the cue that the specific panda has been tamed.
Instead of Bamboo, Another food item to feed a Panda is a Cake. The process to feed is the same as previously mentioned.
Step 4: Tame the Panda

After feeding the pandas, wait for some time. Continue feeding them until hearts start appearing around over their heads; that’s the cue that the specific panda has been tamed.
After taming, you can breed the pandas or bring them home. Just keep on feeding until you reach your animal farm.
Once those hearts appear on their head, You’ve successfully tamed a Panda in Minecraft.
Requirements To Breed a Panda In Minecraft
- 2 Panda’s
- Eight bamboo blocks within a radius of five blocks of both pandas
- Bamboos to Feed
Pandas can be bred either in the Bamboo forest or you can take them home and breed them on the animal farm.
How to Breed Pandas after Taming
TIP: You needed to have bamboo grass around the Pandas for them to breed (Specifically, Eight bamboo blocks within a radius of five blocks of both pandas)
If you take two pandas to another region and feed them, they will not breed.
Step 1: Find a Panda

First, find yourself a pair of pandas to breed! You can also use the command ‘/summon minecraft:panda’ to make one spontaneously appear near you.
Step 2: Feed the Pandas

Select the bamboo from your inventory and hold it in your hand to lure them near you. They will automatically come over to you and will follow you.
Feed each Panda some Bamboo for them to enter the love mode.
Step 2: Breeding Pandas

Continue feeding your pandas until they start producing red love and babies along with them.
How to get Bamboo In Minecraft
- Jungle Biome – Bamboo is found naturally in Jungle Biomes.
- Fishing – Use an enchanted fishing rod to get Bamboo when reeling in your line.
- Mob Drops – You can also get bamboo by killing the Panda which will yield 4 bamboo which is not the best way to get one.
- Jungle Temple – Open Chest in Jungle Temple in stacks of 1–3.
- Shipwreck – It has a 15.6% Chance of getting in the Supply Chest.
7 Personality of Pandas in Minecraft
There are 7 different panda personalities with 2 different traits – Main traits and Hidden Traits.
It has 5 dominant Personality types – Normal, Aggressive, Playful, Lazy, and Worried.
There are two recessive ones – Brown Pandas and Weak Pandas
1. Normal Panda

They have frowny mouths and have no unique personality traits.
2. Lazy Panda

As the name suggests, they are quite lazy and on their back facing the sky with smiling mouths.
They also do not follow bamboo when dropped on the ground.
3. Aggressive Pandas

Aggressive Pandas have angry eyebrows. They will attack nearby mobs and if you attack them, they will become hostile and attack you too.
4. Playful Panda

It has its tongue sticking out of its mouth. They will jump and rolls over.
As the name suggests, they are quite playful.
5. Brown Pandas

It has a brown surface instead of a black one and has no unique personality.
6. Weak Panda

They have both main genes and hidden genes that are weak.
It has a light blue pixel to the left and right eyes and a snotty nose.
They also have only 10 health instead of the normal 20 health for most pandas.
7. Worried Panda

They avoid players and mobs. They shake and hide during thunders and do not eat cake or bamboo on their own.
