Why Do My Minecraft Settings Keep Resetting: FIX [Guide]
Minecraft Settings keep resetting due to missing Options.txt file in your folder, running the System Cleaner app in the background, fixing the game reset bug, and Updating to the latest version.
Did your Minecraft controls get reset back to default every time you launch the game?
The account suddenly got lost, Skin went back to default, and all my external storage worlds are gone.
If your Minecraft GameUserSettings is resetting on server restart, this usually means there is an error in the Options.txt file. This can be caused by either a syntax error or the required settings missing from the file initially.
So, you need to change your keybindings and type in the server URL every time you log on.
It can be such a pain.
Before making any modifications to this file, you need to create a backup of it so you can restore it in case the file is reset again.
There are 3 possible reasons for Minecraft not saving your progress.
- Missing Options.txt File
- Updating to a new version
- Cleaner App
